Bliss Nova Scotia--- 'Every Baby Deserves Breastmilk'
May 1, 2010 marks the opening of Nova Scotia's first volunteer-based Natural Parenting Resource Centre, assuring access to breastfeeding, baby-wearing and attachment-parenting resources to all families.
- Located at 8 Oland Crescent, Bayer's Lake, Halifax, BLISS will be offering a variety of new and gently-used products such as:
- breast pumps and accessories (Medela, First Years MiPump, Gerber)
- nursing pillows and nursing covers (My Breast Friend, Boppy, Jolly Jumper)
- baby wraps and slings (NOJO, Baby Bjorn, StarSlings, Hotslings, Sarah Apple)
- Baby Legs and leg warmers
- First Years Co-sleepers
- infant pottys for EC'ing
- a full library of breastfeeding and natural-parenting books (The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, Dr. Sears' Breastfeeding Book, Diaper-Free)
- Plus, the largest selection of new and gently-used cloth diapers you will find in HRM, including:
- Kushies
- FuzziBuns
- Mother Ease
- Absolute Diapers
- Sears Baby
- Bummis
- G-Diapers
- hundreds of beautiful cloth diapers made by Canadian "mompreneurs", so that you can support the local economy
This is just a small sample of what you will find in our store. There is something for every natural-parenting family.
BLISS is dedicated to reaching out to all breastfed babies, including those who may not have access to resources. If you are a single mother, a student, or a low-income family, please contact BLISS directly through email. After completing a quick, confidential, application form, you may qualify for a free gift certificate for 'Every Baby Deserves Breastmilk', valued at up to two hundred dollars. If you do not have a vehicle, a 'shopping list' can be provided for your needs, as well as delivery.
BLISS strives to provide resources to low-income families, but anyone is welcome to purchase items. BLISS is a 100% volunteer support group, so all funds and monies raised go directly back into the organization.
BLISS graciously accepts donations of any of the items listed above. Please consider us when you are finished with your breast pumps and cloth diapers.
If you have a Home Based Business, please consider donating 1 or 2 of your stock for display and sale in our store. In exchange, we will advertise and credit your business in our brochures and handouts, on our website and in-store. We welcome all HBB's, such as homemade cloth diapers, wraps and slings, hair clips, toys, baby shoes and clothing, or any other pertinent businesses.
